I have a simple question: is this package still working?

If so, can you please provide me with instructions on how to find an API key? I was searching for it on the google console but apparently is nowhere to be found.

Hi,

I wrote this code a couple of years ago to do some easy speech recognition
for a robot. I am not sure whether it works now, because Google may have
changed their APIs or policies.
Did you check the cloud speech API of google

yes I checked it out , thank you! I requested the access (it is still a limited preview unfortunately). Too bad that they are so closed on this, it would be really helpful for robotics!

Yeah.
You can also look for other alternatives like Nexiwave (
http://nexiwave.com/)- they have a free plan for personal usage
or the python speech recognition api (
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/SpeechRecognition/)

Is the package still running? Are there any updates for ROS Kinetic? or is the package running on ROS Hydro only?
