Confusing behavior on Android #10
Description
I use the Hydejack open source theme on my personal site. Thanks for sharing it! I noticed an unfortunate quandary on my Android phone: the default navigation behavior on Androids for years now has been to swipe right from the left edge in order to go back. Since this component relies on a very similar gesture to open the drawer, it is extremely easy to go back instead of opening the nav drawer. Ouch! That would be extremely confusing for a lot of people!
I used Copilot to help me override the main.html file from the Hydejack Jekyll theme and add a hamburger icon at the right top of the page which opens the menu with a tap. I would be happy to share what it came up with if you would like. I'm too clunky with web design to have come up with this on my own.
I was also finding the "swipe left" help icon was only appearing intermittently. But after thinking about it, I think it only shows up on the first fresh page load. Any navigation on the site after that is using that push-stack thing so I guess it only shows it on the first page load and then the assumption is that the user has got it. I'd kind of rather show it on every page but I'm not going to chase that. If that behavior is configurable, please do let me know.
Thanks again for the sweet theme!
