How to compile and install lua-gd?

There is no instructions on how to compile lua-gd after downloading. Please provide some.

If you are in windows, it is included in the LuaForWindows package.

This is how i did it on my RaspberryPi running Raspian.

1. Install GD with sudo apt-get install libgd-dev (this will also install all dependencies)
2. Remove it again, sudo apt-get remove libgd-dev
3. Download the latest release from https://libgd.github.io/pages/downloads.html (I used libgd-2.2.5.tar.gz)
4. Extract somewhere.
5. Go to that folder with a terminal.
6. ./configure
7. make
8. sudo make install
9. Download Lua-gd from here and extract it.
10. Go to that folder
11. make
12. sudo make install

And now i can do gd = require("gd")
and it works.
I had some trial and error in the middle but I think i got all the main steps.
