Are you planning on making this a full GUI app ? with more preferences within the GUI ?

I think MPlayerShell is feature complete at this point. However, I am currently working on an entirely new multi-window media player application using MPlayer as the core engine. While that new application will likely have a preferences panel, I'm trying to keep the number of options there to a minimum. Instead, I'm making the application itself have enough of the correct behaviors to make it approachable for novices but still useful for media geeks like myself.

There are some features I wish I find them in a media player, I'm trying to organize them, then I'd like to share them here maybe you'd like any of them as feed back or maybe it would be nice if you can somehow receive from us the users feedback in advance about what we wish to have in a future kind of media player.

One of these feature I wish to find was just using the keyboard and shortcuts to control everything in the media and I found a vey nice implementation here :

space: Play / pause
h: HD / SD toggle
left: - 5 secs
right: + 5 secs
0…9: Jump 0% to 90% of video
esc: Exit fullmode or lightbox
f: Enter / exit fullmode (screen or window)
alt + f: Enter / exit fullmode (window or screen)
up: + 5% volume
down: - 5% volume

I wish QuickTime doesn't pause the video when I press "right" or "left" then I have to press space!, and it just move like 1 sec!. it feels very slow to move around video unless I use Fast Forward which I think most people never used in the desktop.

I'll try to organize my feedback first, Thank you.
