Micro editor goes blank in edge case when started from Termux (+ fix)

And then only in edge cases:

• when I install micro in a prooted Debian container inside Termux (sudo apt install micro)
• and only when I ssh into that container from Termux.
  Inside a VNC session to the prooted Debian, opening a Terminal, micro runs normally.
  On all other platforms (native Termux, Linux, macOS) it runs normally.

And I found a fix on openwrt (where is also runs normally):

I repeated it in the earlier mentioned prooted Debian container and it worked normally.

Environment

• Version: 2.0.15
• OS: Debian (prooted under Termux only when ssh'ed into)
• Terminal: Termux started as SSH from macOS

But what exactly has this to do with micro?
The "solution" is to move the standalone micro binary to /usr/bin?
This is just the way to have it accessible without tackling the PATH environment variable or calling it with its path.

Most probably I don't get the point here.

Well, it is a rather rare case.
On other platforms the micro runs normally, only in this very isolated case the screen went blank, so I replaced it with the other file (also for arm64).
I replaced the /usr/bin/micro installed by apt install micro by this one to get it working.
So it is not a real bug.

That command installs micro 2.0.10 which is very old and different than what you get from Debian's package repository, so this could be a regression. Does the issue happen if you download the latest version (2.0.15) instead?

How old ? (2010 ?) the version number is a random number saying nothing about how old it is.
Anyway, the 2010 version works and 2015 not.

See v2.0.10, it will tell you that it is from 7th August 2021.
With v2.0.11 upwards the internal clipboard reader was replaced with clipper, which abstracts further clipboards.
clipper has some issues in combination with Termux and its API extension¹.
