Issue Description:
Your utilities file has methods for parsing cartessian positions out of yaml. I find it hard to believe that this doesn’t exist, already. If it doesn’t and this is something that you think may be reusable, you may consider putting it in industrial_utils: http://code.google.com/p/swri-ros-pkg/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Findustrial_experimental%2Findustrial_utils
