I am a heavy user of FeedFlow across my entire ecosystem. I use it daily on Linux, iOS, macOS, and Windows. While I appreciate the Microsoft Store version, the experience on Windows feels a bit disconnected compared to other platforms. Currently, I use UniGetUI to manage and update my software. Since FeedFlow isn't on Winget, I have to manually check the Store for updates, which is often slow and not very user-friendly.
I would like to suggest adding FeedFlow to the Winget repository.
Why this adds value to the project:
- Using Winget allows users of tools like UniGetUI to see FeedFlow updates alongside the rest of their system apps, eliminating the need to open the Microsoft Store manually.
- Since you already generate an MSI installer, adding it to Winget is just a matter of creating a manifest file. This can be fully automated using GitHub Actions (like winget-releaser), so it won't add friction to your release process.
- Winget is becoming the standard for Windows developers and enthusiasts. Being there makes the app more discoverable for the community that already uses CLI tools.
Thanks for building such a great cross-platform tool!
