Hi guys, I'm Lee and I am running to be be your new Socials Secretary for the rest of this year!

Who am I?

I am in my 4th and final year (finally) and have previously been on committee as both PGT Rep and Secretary. You've most likely seen me around on discord or even helping out at a couple events where I can to help out the current committee. In my free time if I'm not at the pub, I'll be playing darts, watching football and F1, or playing Destiny.

Why me?

I have been on committee previously in two different roles, so I know how it works and what the workload is like and know I can cope with it. During that time I helped out doing lots of different tasks unrelated to my role as well so I know what is required of a socials secretary and I am also able to help out with other tasks is people are unable to complete them. As part of this I will ensure that publicity is released on time so more people are aware of events that are being run

  • Accessibility

A main goal of mine is to ensure that all events that CSS runs are as accessible as possible, by running step-free events and having a range of different events so there is something for everyone. I would also ensure that there is a quiet room available where possible for people that need it. I will also try to ensure that food isn't given out during ramadan where possible, although sometimes this won't be feasible.

  • Future Events

This semester I would like to bring back Nerds Night Out, where a load of 'nerdy' societies come together and do karaoke at the Indie Lounge (and possibly sports night after) , ensure that the new fortnightly pub sessions happen, and that there is actually someone on committee there. I would also like to do more collabs with other societies, like bad film and cheese soc who we did collabs with last year.

This is not as important anymore since most things are bought from Costco but if other things are needed (like milk for break;) then I can get them for cheaper (up to 15% off)
