Late bytes are uploaded through POST /close_session.
Reads broadcasts from GET /broadcasts and caches them. Broadcasts are checked every 15 seconds and are cached for up to 1 minute.
The client can also contacts GitHub to obtain release information, and exposes an endpoint so this info can be served to the UI.
