add in unit tests for JXR projected library, by:

  • adding in testing dependencies (projected-testing artifact and other testing dependencies)
  • write unit tests for projected context and checking for hardware capabilities (display via CAPABILITY_VISUAL_UI)

Summary of Changes

Hello, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request significantly enhances the Gemini Live Todo sample application by integrating support for Google AI Glasses. It introduces a projected display experience where users can interact with their todo list via voice commands on AI Glasses, while the core application logic runs on the host device. The changes involve adding new UI components optimized for wearable displays, updating the application's architecture to manage projected contexts, and refining the voice interaction flow to include microphone status control.

Highlights

  • Google AI Glasses Support: The Gemini Live Todo sample now includes prototype support for Google AI Glasses, leveraging Jetpack Projected and Glimmer libraries for a heads-up display experience.
  • New Projected Display Activity: A new GlassesActivity has been added to manage the projected display for AI Glasses, including microphone permission handling and rendering a Glimmer-based UI.
  • Data Model and ViewModel Refactoring: The Todo data model and ViewModel were updated to accommodate mic control status and integrate seamlessly with the new projected display functionality, including changes to how live sessions are managed.
  • Dependency Updates: The project's dependencies were updated to include glimmer, projected, and projected-testing libraries, along with an Android Gradle Plugin version bump and new testing utilities.
  • Documentation and UI Updates: The README.md files and string resources were updated to reflect the new AI Glasses support, including a new image for the Gemini Live Todo sample and descriptive text for the projected experience.

🧠 New Feature in Public Preview: You can now enable Memory to help Gemini Code Assist learn from your team's feedback. This makes future code reviews more consistent and personalized to your project's style. Click here to enable Memory in your admin console.

Code Review

This pull request introduces test dependencies and a new test file for ProjectedContext. My review has identified several critical issues with dependency versions in gradle/libs.versions.toml that would cause build failures. Additionally, some test dependencies in build.gradle.kts are incorrectly scoped under the implementation configuration, which I've flagged for correction. I've also provided suggestions to improve the new test file's code quality by removing unused code and refactoring to enhance readability and maintainability.
